- Excessive, complex, or custom motion graphics
- Wedding videos
- Write copy from scratch
- Complex color grading
- Sound design
- Graphic design
Things that may delay turnaround time:
- Raw footage submissions of over 50 GB. Use proxies if you are uploading more than 150 GB.
- Videos with run times of considerable length (can depend on complexity).
- Videos needing custom captioning.
- Complex or a high number of revisions notes.
- Submitting un-proxied 4k, 6k, or 8k footage.
- Unclear, incomplete, or open-ended instructions.
- Complex edits requiring high levels of fine-tuning/detail (example: rotoscoping).
- Sending additional video notes/assets to your project manager instead of leaving them directly in the video revision tool (Frame.io).
- Reopening old orders (over 45 days of no editing activity).
Some other important things to know:
- The Essentials plan is not meant to replace a full-time editor.
- If a stock footage clip can not be sourced in our paid library, we are not responsible for sourcing it elsewhere. You can provide it from different sources assuming the licensing.
- If you submit via Dropbox, we suggest all sub-folders containing footage and assets should be put inside a single "root" folder.
- We understand that you have deadlines to meet, so we try our best to fulfill any rush requests. That being said, we can never promise turnarounds faster than 2 business days on first drafts, and 24 hours on revisions. Please plan accordingly to avoid a scenario in which we aren’t able to complete a video in time for your deadline. We can always share the assets files if you want/need to take it to the finish line after our working hours.
- You can submit multiple video orders at one time. This will create a queue, and once we finish one of your videos/tasks, we’ll move on to the next one in the queue.
- After 45 days of no editing activity on an order, Edit Crew reserves the right to delete the files, media, and related assets associated with the order from our servers and on the storage of Frame.io. We advise you to download the exports and let us know once a project is approved.
- We do not operate 365 days a year, in observance of our editing team’s local holidays. Click here to see Edit Crew’s days off.
- Our hours of operation are as follows:
- Monday-Friday, 9 am-6 pm Central Time (March 11-November 3)
- Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm Central Time (November 4-March 10)
